Dog Friendly Holidays in Cornwall
Dogs at our Cottages
Nestled in 36 acres of farmland and woods, The Woodland Collection cottages offer superb facilities for guests and their four- legged friends! We are situated between the pretty coastal town of Marazion (with its dog friendly pubs, cafes and boutiques overlooking the beach and St Michael’s Mount) and Hayle, with 3 miles of golden sandy beaches and dunes.
Dogs have plenty of space here on the farm, with a two acre, grassed, stock- proof fenced exercise paddock, and a nature trail down through the fields to the woods, stream and ponds. There are no animals on the farm to worry about as it’s a barley and flower farm, so if your dogs have good recall, they can be left off the lead from the doorstep.
Close by (almost next door!) we also have the National Trust’s Godolphin Estate which has lovely free woodland walks, and Godolphin Hill where you can see both the North and South Coast from the top on a clear day.
- Each cottage also has an enclosed private garden with warm outdoor shower to wash off sandy/muddy paws after your day’s adventure.
- Leather sofas than can be easily wiped clean
- Doggie box with extra bowls, toys and treats.
- Dog crates can also be hired for a small fee.
Dogs in Cornwall
Cornwall Council has recently loosened restrictions for dogs on beaches.
Near us, Porthkidney beach, Long Rock beach and The Towans beach at Hayle are dog friendly all year round and not subject to any restrictions.
Most pubs and cafes are dog friendly in our area too, but it’s worth checking if you are planning to book. The nearest good food pubs are The Falmouth Packet (Gastro pub – book in advance) at Rosudgeon just 2.5 miles from here, The Godolphin Inn at Marazion, (4 miles), The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe, (4 miles). Nearest Micro Brewery and Real Ale pub is The Star Inn at Crowlas (6 miles).
